Shirley Anderson Bahlmann wrote her first novel at ten years of age while living in Haddon Heights, New Jersey. She loved books so much, she would hide in the closet to read while she ate potato chips she'd snuck from the Charlie Chips can! After she moved to Utah, she wrote and performed an original monologue, which led to her being crowned "Miss Manti". Eventually she wrote her way into an editor position of "The Snowdrift" newspaper on Snow College Campus. College was also a good place to play sax in a jazz band and meet tall, dark and handsome, Robert Bahlmann. Now twenty-four years later, they are the parents of six sons: Andy, Jeff, Scott, Zackary, Brian and Michael, two daughters-in-law, Heidi and Jamie, and two delightful grandchildren -- Marcus and Anneke. Shirley is a prolific author with great insight into the American West. | |
